Over 50 varieties of cheese available from our Deli

Our cheese counter is brimming with local and regional cheeses. We aim to have a large variety of traditional English cheeses with the best of what the Continent has to offer!

 

Our deli recently celebrated its 2 year anniversary and over this time we have built our cheese selection up to have over 50 different cheeses available at any one time. We encourage all our customers to come in and sample the cheeses we have on offer and to talk to our qualified staff about their favourite cheeses, and help us find those really special cheeses which nobody knows about!

 

Popular local cheese in our counter include Cotehill Blue and Yellow produced by the Davenports at Market Rasen, award winning Poacher cheese and Dambuster, a very tasty cheddar style cheese.

 

 

                            CHEESE OF THE WEEK- MANCHEGO PDO

 Produced in the La Mancha region of Spain. Manchego has a firm and compact consistency, with a delicious buttery texture.

It has a distinctive flavour that is well developed but not too strong, creamy with a slight piquancy .
Manchego keeps well and is gorgeous eaten just as it is. Alternatively it is extremely versatile and when cooked lends a nutty sweetness to the dish.
