Our bakery is situated in the small market town of Horncastle, Lincolnshire. All our products are handmade on the premises by our small team of craft bakers, ensuring only the finest quality and enabling us to vary our selection on a regular basis.
TRADITIONAL BREADS
Inside our bakery you will find a wide range of breads, including wholemeal, norfolk crunch, combicorn, hovis, milk bread and ciabattas. We also bake a selection of speciality breads such as spelt and honey and our new and very popular low Gi range, a delicious combination of pumpkin, linseed and sunflower seeds, combined with wheat bran and oat flakes to give an extra special tasty, darker style bread with extra bite and a coarse, open texture. MORNING GOODS & CONFECTIONARY
Our morning goods range includes a selection of freshly baked Danish pastries and doughnuts along with much more including fat rascals and fruit scones. For a special treat, indulge into one of our delicious fresh cream cakes, with a choice ranging from chocolate eclairs and doughnuts to apple puffs and banoffee pie.
FRESHLY PREPARED SANDWICHES
Freshly made sandwiches, rolls and salads are made daily using meats oven roasted in our own bakery and other locally sourced ingredients. Each week we offer a 'filling of the week' where new and exciting fillings are created, examples include 'poached salmon with rocket in a lemon and lime mayonnaise' and a 'deal of the week' where by our customers can save 20% on the normal price.
LUNCHTIME SAVOURIES
To accompany our freshly made sandwiches, rolls and salads, we also produce a selection of delicious lunchtime savouries. Sausage rolls are available in either our homemade flakey or shortcrust pastry and are made using award winning Lincolnshire Farmhouse Sausage meat from local family business, Mountains of Boston http://bostonsausage.co.uk.
Our ever increasing homemade pasty range features a selection of different recipes all made using fresh local produce, our current selection includes;
Traditional Lincolnshire- made using minced beef from Mellors bucthers of Horncastle, diced swede, potatoes, carrots and onions in a shortcrust pastry.
Farmhouse Sausage & Stilton- made using Mountains of Boston sausage and Colston Bassett stilton in a shortcrust pastry.
Beef Steak- made using tender pieces of steak in an onion gravy, encassed in flakey pastry.
Pork & Apple- Mountains of Boston sausage with fresh apple in shortcrust pastry.
To complement our range of bread and confectionery we also stock Pipers and Tyrells crisps, Belvoir cordials & presses, Border & Farmhouse biscuits and a full range of Tiptree preserves.
Should you have any special dietary requirements, a member of staff will be more than happy to inform you about any ingredients in our products and offer advise.
We are also happy to offer an ordering service, allowing our customers to phone up and order their bread and confectionary. Orders can be taken up to the morning of collection and ensures all our customers recieve exactly what they want and avoid dissapointment.
