Pick up your plum bread from your local Stockist...

Now the bakery has reopened we are very pleased to announce that our plum bread is now available to purchase again from our stockists. So please support your local supplier and pick up your loaf. Serve simply sliced and buttered or why not try it with a slice of your favourite cheese and a crisp apple for a refreshing lite bite? However you choose to serve it, we know you'll enjoy it.

Bakery Re-opening

May 14, 2020

We are pleased to announce that as from today, our bakery is now back open on the reduced hours of 8.30am - 2.00pm (Monday - Saturday). The shop will be restocked with fresh bread, savouries, morning goods and cakes daily, ensuring that there will always be a good selection for you to choose from. If you would like to guarantee certain products, please do so by placing an order with us on 01507 522234. 
Social distancing measures are also in place to keep both our staff and customers as safe as possible. 
Due to current government guidance, both the deli and cafe tearoom remain closed until further notice.

Covid-19

March 28, 2020

Due to the current coronavirus pandemic, the bakery and deli are now closed until further notice. It has been a very difficult decision for us to make, but the health and safety of our employees, our customers and our family, has to come first.
We will review the situation again on the 18th April based on government guidelines.
We would like to take this opportunity to say a very big thank you to our dedicated team of employees who have worked extremely hard during these unprecedented times. Also a big thank you to our customers for your continued support- we look forward to serving you again as soon as we possibly can. 

The cafe remains closed and will re-open again once we are permitted to by the government.

There's Always Time for Tea...

We are very excited to announce that as from today, we will now be serving afternoon teas in our cafe tearoom. To celebrate the launch of this new addition to our menu, you can enjoy yours for only £9.99 per person between 16th - 31st January, after this date the normal price will be £12.50pp. 

Each afternoon tea includes; 

A selection of 6 finger sandwiches

A cheese & caramelised onion mini quiche

A mini choux bun

A piece of carrot cake

Lemon Possett with Homemade Shortbread

A fruit scone, served with clotted cream & strawberry jam 

A piece of our Lincolnshire plum loaf, served with butter

Served Monday - Saturday from 1.30 - 3.00pm

Bookings (phone 01507 525453) are preferred but not essential.

Bakery Winter Opening Hours

January 13, 2019

As from Monday 13th January we will be operating our new Winter opening hours. The only changes we have made is that the bakery will be now opening at the slightly later time of 8.30am on both a Tuesday and Wednesday morning. All other hours remain as normal.

Cafe Tearoom Winter Opening Hours

November 7th, 2019

As from Monday 11th November, our cafe tearoom will be closing at the slightly earlier time of 3pm daily, as part of our new Winter opening hours. 
Please note that this change in hours, is only applicable to the cafe. Both the bakery and the deli opening hours remain the same.

Reward Card Scheme Closure

October 10th 2019

As from the 31st October our reward card scheme will be coming to an end, after this date we will no longer be issuing points with purchases, however you do have until Christmas Eve to redeem existing points on cards in any of our three shops. We will be introducing exciting new loyalty schemes in the new year so stay tuned for more information. Thank you all for your continued support.

Full Time Cook- Cafe Tearoom

We're currently looking for an experienced cook to join our cafe tearoom team. This is a great opportunity for someone who loves cooking and would like to work in a family run business with a strong emphasis on fresh, home cooked food. The main duties of this role are short order cooking, stock rotation and ordering, along with daily cleaning. The successful candidate must be able to work well under pressure in a busy environment. 

The hours are as follows: 

Tuesday: 8am - 3pm

Wednesday: 11am - 3pm

Thursday: 11am - 3pm

Friday: 8am - 3pm

Alternate Saturdays: 8am - 4pm

Summertime Specials

June 1st, 2019

The sun is out and the days are heating up so why not pop in to our air conditioned café tearoom and enjoy one of our new Summertime specials. Currently being served are deep fried brie wedges on a bed of mixed leaves, with salad and cranberry sauce, alongside salmon and dill fishcakes, served with mixed leaves, salad, a slice of our lightly toasted cheese, onion & tomato sourdough bread, complete with a lemon mayonnaise.

Live on BBC Radio Lincolnshire

April 17th 2019

This morning we were joined in the bakery by Harry Parkhill from BBC Radio Lincolnshire, who came over to talk to us all about our hot cross buns. Harry was very hands on and helped with production throughout the morning as he described to listeners the sights and sounds of the bakery. A challenge to see how many buns Harry could 'cross' within one minute, proved its actually a lot harder than it looks.

One a penny, Two a penny... Hot Cross Buns!

March 11th 2019

The bakery is now being filled with the delicious aroma that only hot cross buns can bring as we start to make these daily in the run up to Easter. Along with our traditional buns, we will also be making the popular chocolate orange and orange and cranberry varieties. The question is, which one will you pick?
